Rizen — Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Agreement

These terms govern your use of Rizen, an alarm clock app for iOS and Android made by Barnseyy. By downloading or using Rizen, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app

Rizen lets you set alarms with optional wake-up challenges (such as step counts, squats, barcode scans, or photo matches) that must be completed to fully silence the alarm. Rizen does its best to wake you reliably, but it depends on your device's operating system, battery settings, and permissions — see the in-app Reliability section for what can affect this. Rizen is provided "as is," and Barnseyy can't guarantee an alarm will fire in every circumstance (for example, if the device is powered off, in Do Not Disturb in a way the OS doesn't allow overriding, or if required permissions have been revoked).

Subscriptions and purchases

Rizen offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's App Store and Google Play billing:

  • Rizen Pro — an auto-renewing subscription, available as Monthly, 6-Month, or Yearly plans.
  • Rizen Complete — a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the same features permanently, with no recurring charge.

Prices and any introductory or free-trial offer are shown in the app and in the App Store or Play Store listing before you buy, and vary by region and currency. Where a free trial is offered, it is available once per Apple ID or Google account for a given subscription group; if you've already used a trial, the app will not offer another one and you may be charged from the start of the subscription.

Auto-renewal & cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew for the same length and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's subscription settings (Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on iOS, or the Play Store's Subscriptions page on Android) — Rizen also links directly to this from Settings › Account. Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current period; access continues until it ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Barnseyy does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds on Apple's or Google's behalf.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Rizen — don't try to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the app, and don't use it for anything unlawful.

No warranty, limitation of liability

Rizen is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Barnseyy isn't liable for missed alarms, oversleeping, or any resulting loss, damage, or inconvenience, including where caused by device settings, OS behaviour, or factors outside the app's control.

Changes

These terms may be updated occasionally; the current version always lives on this page, with the "last updated" date above.
